Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Pixerize (“Pixerize”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit pixerize.me, contact us, or work with us as a client.
We’ve kept it as plain as we can. Questions? Email hi@pixerize.me.
Information We Collect
Media
If you upload images to a website we build or manage for you, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to a website can download and extract any location data from images on that website.
Cookies
We use cookies and clear GIFs. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to a computer’s hard drive while a website is viewed. We use both session cookies (which expire once a web browser is closed) and persistent cookies (which stay on a device until deleted). Among other things, cookies allow us to provide a more personal and interactive experience and to improve our marketing efforts. Persistent cookies may be removed by following the instructions provided by your browser. If cookies are disabled, some areas or features of our websites may not work correctly.
We collect personal information about you from a variety of sources, including when you visit our website, when you voluntarily provide information to us, when data is publicly posted (e.g., Google, LinkedIn, etc.), or when we receive it from third parties such as our clients or partners.
There may be instances in which the information we collect is considered sensitive personal data under the laws of the country or state where you reside. As a general matter, we only collect sensitive personal data when it is necessary for us to do so.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Pages on our site or sites we build may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, maps, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves the same way as if you had visited the other website directly.
These third-party websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Use of Information
In addition to the purposes described elsewhere in this policy, we may use personal information in the following ways:
- To respond to your inquiries related to projects, support, partnership, employment opportunities, or other requests.
- To deliver the services you’ve engaged us for: web design and development, branding, SEO, copywriting, growth marketing, app development, and ongoing support.
- To improve our services and offerings.
- To conduct analytics on how our website is used.
- To send marketing and promotional materials about our services, case studies, or industry insights, only when you’ve opted in.
- For internal administrative purposes and to manage our relationship with you.
- To produce aggregated or anonymized industry reports and trend analysis.
- To assess whether you may become a potential client or collaborator in the future.
- To send invoices and process payments for engaged services.
Our collection and processing of your information is based, depending on context, on your consent, our need to perform a contract, our obligations under the law, and/or our legitimate interest in running our business.
Sharing of Information
In addition to the situations discussed elsewhere in this policy, we disclose information in the following circumstances:
Affiliates and Acquisitions
Our team operates across Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United States, and Vietnam. Team members and entities affiliated with Pixerize may use your information to process inquiries, deliver services, and improve our offerings. If another company acquires Pixerize, our business, or our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Clients and Project Partners
When you are a client of ours, we may share information with subcontractors, freelancers, or partner agencies engaged on your project, only as needed to deliver the work. All such parties are bound by confidentiality.
Other Disclosures with Your Consent
We may ask whether you’d like us to share your information with other third parties not described elsewhere in this policy (for example, listing you as a featured client or testimonial).
Other Disclosures without Your Consent
We may disclose information in response to subpoenas, warrants, or court orders, in connection with legal process, or to comply with applicable laws. We may also share information to establish or exercise our rights, defend against legal claims, investigate or prevent suspected fraud or illegal activities, protect the safety of any person or property, or address violations of our terms.
Service Providers
Pixerize may share personal data with third parties that act as agents, consultants, or contractors to perform tasks on our behalf and under our instructions. This includes hosting providers, email and CRM tools, analytics platforms, project management software, and payment processors. These recipients must agree to confidentiality obligations and are not permitted to use your data for any purpose outside of what we request.
Third-Party Tracking and Analytics Companies
We may share your information with our analytics partners. As described in this policy, these third parties may also collect information directly from you over time and across different websites. The privacy policies of these companies apply to their collection, use, and disclosure of your data. For example, one of our partners is Google Analytics, which generally collects information anonymously and reports website trends without identifying individual visitors.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
Retention of Information
We retain personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, Portuguese tax and accounting law, which typically requires retention of invoicing records for up to 10 years), or until you request that we delete information about you.
Protecting Information
Pixerize uses industry-standard security technologies and procedures to ensure data security and integrity for the personal data we hold. We also use reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures to protect against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, disclosure, alteration, and destruction of personal information under our control. This includes HTTPS encryption, access controls, two-factor authentication on critical systems, and vendor due diligence.
Unfortunately, data transmission over the Internet cannot be guaranteed as 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If we are required to notify you about a situation involving your data, we may do so by email, phone, or mail to the extent permitted by law.
Your Choices
You can make the following choices regarding your personal information:
Access, Correction, and/or Deletion of Your Personal Information. You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information Pixerize has collected about you by writing to the contact listed below under “Contact Information.” When we delete personal data, it will be removed from our active database, but it may remain in archives where deletion is not practical or possible.
Ability to Object to Processing. You may object to our continued processing of your data. If we receive an objection, we will evaluate whether we are required by law to discontinue such processing.
California Residents. California residents may be entitled to request a notice describing what categories of personal information (if any) we share with third parties or affiliates for direct marketing. California residents also have the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these rights, submit a written request using the information in the “Contact Information” section below. We do not sell personal information.
Online Tracking. We do not currently recognize automated browser signals regarding tracking mechanisms, which may include “Do Not Track” instructions.
Promotional Emails. You may provide us with your email address to allow us to send you newsletters, project updates, case studies, surveys, offers, and other promotional materials.
Emails. You can stop receiving promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in the emails you receive or by contacting us using the information below. If you decide not to receive promotional emails, we may still send you service-related communications related to projects you’ve engaged us for.
Opt-Out / Revocation of Consent. If we rely on your consent to process personal information, you may revoke that consent by writing to the contact listed below. Note that in some situations, we may no longer be able to provide you services if you revoke your consent. We may also limit or deny your request to withdraw consent if the law permits or requires us to do so, or if we cannot adequately verify your identity.
Different Purposes. If we use your information for a materially different purpose than the one for which it was collected, we will offer you the ability to opt in or opt out of that use, as required by law.
Transmitting Information to Other Countries
Personal information may be processed in a country where you do not reside that has privacy laws that may be less stringent than the laws in your country. Pixerize operates from Portugal and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with team members in the United States and Vietnam, which means your data may be transferred to and processed in any of these countries.
Where possible, we take steps to treat personal information using the same privacy principles that apply under the law in which we first received your information. For transfers from the EU/EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or other legally valid safeguards.
By submitting your personal information to us, you agree to the transfer, storage, and processing of your data in a country other than your country of residence. If you would like more information about how we apply privacy principles when data crosses jurisdictions, contact us using the information below.

To the extent that our policy changes materially, the policy that was in place when you submitted personal information to us will generally govern that information.
